In short: our apps keep their settings in your own Shopify store, nothing about your shoppers is sent to us, and this website uses no cookies and no tracking.

Who we are

Simple Store Apps is a trading name of Simple Reels Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 17504037), registered office 58 Broton Drive, Halstead, Essex, CO9 1HB, United Kingdom. We are responsible for the data described here. Contact: hello@simplestoreapps.com.

Our apps: what we receive and keep

  • Your shop's connection to the app. When you install an app, Shopify gives us your shop's address and a key that lets the app's settings screen work. We keep these on our server while the app is installed and delete them when you uninstall it.
  • Your settings. What you choose in the app (messages, colours, rules) is saved in your own Shopify store, not on our server. Shopify removes it when you uninstall the app.
  • Your shop's fonts. To show your fonts in the preview, the settings screen reads your shop's public home page, the same page any visitor sees.
  • Billing. Shopify handles all payments. We don't see your card or bank details.

Your shoppers

Our apps don't collect, store or send any personal data about your shoppers or customers. On your shop's pages the apps run in the shopper's own browser:

  • The free delivery bar reads the basket total from your shop to work out what's left; this stays in the browser.
  • The announcement bar may remember, for that visit only, that the shopper closed it (in the browser's session storage, not a cookie).
  • The trust badges are drawn by your theme and use no script at all.

None of our apps set cookies, track shoppers, or contact our servers from your shop's pages. Because we hold no shopper data, Shopify's privacy requests about customers (data requests and deletion) have nothing to return or delete on our side; we confirm them as soon as they arrive.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. If you switch to dark mode, your browser remembers that choice on your device only; it's never sent to us. Its fonts are stored on this site, so your browser doesn't contact other companies when you read it. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks.

When you email us

We use your email only to answer you and keep it as long as needed for that, usually no longer than two years after our last message.

  • Shopify: the platform the apps run on, and billing.
  • Cloudflare: hosting of this website, and our email address.
  • Our app server host (named here before the apps go live).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Write to hello@simplestoreapps.com. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

If we change this policy, we update it here and change the date at the top.
